PasaRonda privacy policy
This policy explains how Spark & Reason LLC handles personal information when you visit PasaRonda, create an account or use the app and service. Sharing an interview can also involve information about other people.
1. Responsible company and contact
Spark & Reason LLC, registered in Wyoming, United States, is responsible for the processing described here. PasaRonda is its product. For questions and privacy requests, email info@sparkreason.com. The company website is www.sparkreason.com.
This policy covers the PasaRonda website, account panel, desktop app and service. External services you visit independently also operate under their own policies.
2. Information we receive
- Account: Google identifier, name, email, verification status and profile-photo URL. This sign-in does not give us your Google password or access to Gmail or Drive.
- Profile and preparation: résumé, job-description and document text you save; filenames, facts you review, stories, company, role, stage and interview notes.
- Interviews: audio you enable for transcription, recognized text, speaker names and roles, typed questions, guidance, reports and other available session information.
- Images: screenshots you choose to send as context for a question.
- Access and usage: sign-in sessions, device name when available, client type, browser information, dates and quantities of audio and model usage.
- Technical information and inquiries: records needed to serve requests and diagnose failures, which may include IP addresses, and communications you send to support.
Information comes from you, Google at sign-in, capture you enable and providers returning transcripts or outputs. Avoid submitting passwords, identification numbers, health information or other unnecessary sensitive data.
3. Audio, documents and screenshots
For online interviews, the app captures your microphone and computer audio separately. In-the-room mode uses one microphone. Audio is transmitted to the speech provider to produce text; PasaRonda does not store interview audio files in its database. Stopping listening stops that transmission but does not erase text already saved.
Conversation text and context you select go to the service and AI provider to generate guidance. Résumés and documents imported in the desktop app are converted to text you can review; we keep the text and associated information, not the original PDF or DOCX.
A screenshot is sent when you choose “Send” and applies to that question and its retry. PasaRonda keeps it in temporary memory, normally for up to 10 minutes, and does not save it with history. Transcripts or answers describing the image may remain saved. Your operating system, clipboard, screenshot tool or provider may hold copies under different retention rules.
4. Why we process information
We process data to authenticate you, save your profile and history, generate requested transcription and guidance, recover interviews, show usage, apply access controls and handle support or privacy requests. Preparation notes marked private are saved for you and are not sent to the guidance model.
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on delivering the requested service, legitimate interests in security and operation where appropriate, legal obligations, and consent where required for optional processing. This policy is not a general authorization for any future processing.
We do not sell your personal information or share your content for targeted advertising. We do not use your interviews, documents or screenshots to train our own models. AI and speech providers have their own processing and retention terms; we do not promise immediate deletion of every provider copy or that every configuration has zero retention.
5. Who receives information
We share necessary information with providers supporting the service:
| Provider | Role and information |
|---|---|
| Sign-in identity, Google Cloud API hosting and web resources such as fonts or the sign-in button. | |
| Cloudflare | Website hosting and API request forwarding; receives connection details and content passing through that infrastructure. |
| Supabase | PostgreSQL database holding accounts, profiles, interviews and service metadata. |
| Deepgram | Audio and parameters necessary for speech transcription. |
| OpenAI | Question and conversation text, selected context and submitted screenshots for generating responses. |
Service configuration can replace speech or generation with Microsoft Azure services or OpenAI transcription. We will update this information for material changes. Not every provider receives all of your data.
We may disclose information to authorized support or security personnel when necessary, authorities for a valid legal obligation, or as part of a company reorganization or transfer with applicable legal protections. Your interviews are not public by default.
6. Location and international transfers
Spark & Reason LLC is registered in the United States and uses infrastructure that may process information in the United States and other countries. The API is currently hosted in a US Google Cloud region. We do not promise that all processing or storage remains in your country.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those safeguards must apply to the relevant transfer. Request information about recipients, locations and safeguards at info@sparkreason.com. This policy does not itself claim certification, an adequacy decision or signed contractual safeguards with every provider.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep your account and profile while you maintain them or until deletion. Interviews follow the service retention setting: without automatic expiry, they remain until you delete them; with a configured period, sessions meeting inactivity and completion conditions expire under that period. View the active policy in the desktop app's “Data and privacy” controls.
Deleting an interview removes its conversation, guidance, associated data and report from active records. The account usage ledger can remain without interview content. Removing a profile document does not necessarily remove its context copies already included in saved interviews: delete those interviews too if you want to remove that content. Account deletion removes associated records from the active database.
Service deletion does not automatically erase your saved exports, local storage, operating-system copies, technical logs, backups or data already sent to providers. Those copies have their own retention cycles and may be subject to legal duties. We do not state an unconfirmed backup-purge deadline. Contact us if you need the scope of a deletion clarified.
8. Browser storage, cookies and web providers
The website uses browser local storage to maintain your session, including access and refresh tokens and basic account information. Signing out revokes the service refresh session and removes its local copy. Clearing browser data may sign you out, but does not delete your account or history.
The site currently has no advertising analytics tools or ad pixels. Google Identity Services, external fonts, profile images and hosting may receive technical information and use their own storage mechanisms. Manage cookies and storage in your browser; blocking them may affect sign-in or presentation.
Cloudflare also adds a website performance measurement script. It collects page loading and experience metrics, the visited page address and its navigation referrer, to help identify performance issues. According to Cloudflare documentation, this script does not use cookies or browser local storage for that measurement.
If we add other optional analytics or advertising, we will update the information and obtain appropriate consent before enabling it. The current site has no advertising-cookie preferences feature because that functionality is not implemented.
9. Security and device data
The public service uses HTTPS and account controls to restrict access. Cloud providers supply their own infrastructure controls. This is not end-to-end encryption: the service and providers must process content to generate answers. No measure offers absolute security.
The app stores access details, preferences and recovery references on your device. Windows protects certain files using current-user mechanisms; protection on other systems depends on permissions and storage. Uninstalling the app does not erase remote data or every local copy. Protect your devices and avoid sharing open sessions.
10. Your choices and requests
Edit your profile, correct facts and speakers, stop listening or guidance and use available controls to export or delete interviews, documents and your account. For other requests, email info@sparkreason.com.
Depending on applicable law and its exceptions, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, withdrawal of consent or a complaint to a supervisory authority. Where applicable, you may also appeal a decision on your request. We will respond under applicable deadlines and duties without discrimination for exercising a right.
We may request proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized representative. Do not send identification documents until necessary and until we provide an appropriate channel. Withdrawing consent does not invalidate earlier lawful processing. PasaRonda does not make hiring decisions or use its suggestions to decide whether you receive a job.
11. Children and other people's information
The service is intended for people aged 18 or older. Do not submit children's information unnecessarily or without a right to share it. If you believe a minor has created an account or their information has been submitted improperly, contact info@sparkreason.com.
Before capturing or sending a conversation, satisfy applicable notice and permission obligations toward interviewers and others. If you participated in a conversation processed by PasaRonda, you may contact the company about your information even without an account.
12. Changes and contact
We will update this policy when data practices change. Material changes will have appropriate notice and a new date. If a new purpose requires consent, we will request it; publishing a new policy does not replace it.
